Do you agree or disagree: Nowadays students like using their phone, listening to music and surfing the Internet when they are studying. However, some people think that has bad effects on learning.

While I prefer to put away my cell phone when doing homework, I can see how some students could benefit from having a cell phone around. I think it is fine for students to use cell phones while studying as long as they can stay focused.

One reason is that many students are accustomed to studying with music. They find that certain types of music puts them into a study mode and that music can make the monotony of studying more bearable. My friend, for example, has a hard time sitting in one place unless she plays classical music. Normally she is very high-energy and distractible, but while listening to classical music, she calms down and becomes highly focused. For students like her, a cell phone is a highly useful study aid. It allows her to bring her music with her anywhere, so she is not limited to just studying in her room where her stereo is.

Another reason is that students sometimes need to use the internet to do research or check assignments, but it is not always possible or desirable for them to carry a laptop around. In these situations, a cell phone is a good substitute. I remember one time when I had to complete a history assignment while on a family vacation. There wasn t access to the internet where we were going, so my laptop would have been useless for research. Instead, I used my cell phone s 3G connection to do research and wrote the assignment by hand. The vacation was much more relaxing because I didn t have to lug my heavy laptop and charger around, and I still finished the assignment on time.

Some will point out that cell phones can potentially distract students from their work. This is true, but in my experience they are far less distracting than laptops, which students use quite frequently for schoolwork. Cell phones have much smaller screens and generally take more effort to use, so students are less likely to waste time on them reading blogs or playing games. It simply isn t as satisfying to procrastinate on a cell phone laptops are much better for that. Plus, if you re writing a paper on your laptop, your web browser is just a couple of clicks away. If you re writing by hand with a cell phone next to you, it s a bit less easy to put down your pencil, pick up your phone, unlock it, and open a browser.

While I don t personally use cell phones while studying unless absolutely necessary, I think that they can be helpful for a lot of students. It s true that cell phones can be distracting, but they re less damaging to productivity than laptops, so I think it s hard to argue that students shouldn t use them.

He has to commit a series of complicated duties, including learning about habitual nature of the pet, preparing for the suitable amount of food to feed it in time, doing cleaning and even playing with it. These may remind them of what parents would do while taking care of their child. Accordingly, he will try to respect and cherish the hard work of their parents more than before. This should be the sign of his progress toward maturity.

In addition, raising pets allows children to experience the happiness of being devoted to others. No matter how many troubles they have encountered to feed their pets, these efforts shall never be made vainly. The process of care-taking fills them with enormous happiness. For example, my cousin brought home a schnauzer last summer and named it Coco. Every morning, he had to walk it in the park and feed her food and water. If he did not have to go to school, he would bring her to the lawn in the park and played Frisbee with her. In the evening, he might take a shower with her as well. According to him, Coco is a company for him, and she is indispensable for him. Evidently, the wholehearted devotion granted to animals makes children appreciate the real essences of happiness. It is the responsibility of the society to help the young to live satisfying, responsible lives. However well or badly societies perform this task, their effort to succeed at it are worth fighting for and deserve our recognition and encouragement.

However, the demerits cannot be ignored. It is universally acknowledged that over strict rules can cause some mental or psychological problems, which, any perceptive observers would never hesitate to admit that, if becoming the feature of the young, would lead to both misery of human and wane of a nation as a whole.

In accordance with all that I have talked above, being strict to the young, when taking every aspect into consideration, will be better for its enormous importance, undeniable functions and great merits brought to our society.
